At the beginning of nursing school they do a pledge ceremony and at the end they do a pinning ceremony. I graduated in December so this felt like our graduation ceremony since we wouldn't walk until May. It was nice to have something to celebrate our accomplishments of finishing nursing school.
Receiving my pin.
They also showed a slide show highlighting each one of the members in my class.
All of the nursing students that I graduated with. There were 17 of us. It was really bitter sweet because I realized this would be the last time I would see a lot of these people. We spent so much time together for the last 2 years and now we are all moving on with our lives. But I am so grateful to be done with school. I thought this day would never come.
Thank you to all of the family that were able to make it. I have so much family support. I feel so lucky. Thanks everyone for your love and support!
Here are some of the pictures from nursing school. We had fun!
We dressed up as patients with the manikin wigs.
(I do not look good as a blond...)
We made Dylan put on the pregnant belly since his wife was pregnant at the time.
We thought he might gain a little sympathy.
CERT training, we are ready for a disaster.
Learning to immobilize someone on a stretcher.
