Duck Creek

This year my family rented a cabin in Duck Creek for a weekend. This was our cheater camping trip.

The first night we just ate dinner and lounged around and watched the Olympics while eating lots and lots of junk food.

Then the girls were on a sugar high and we just watched them run from one end of the cabin to another.

The next day we all rode up to Strawberry Point. The view is amazing!

From on the point you can see the whole valley all around you.

We went back to the cabin and played games for a while. We played Parcheesi. I was first introduced to this game by Bryce's family. This is a favorite in their house.
Now I think my family wants to buy it. It's a lot of fun!

Then we decided to go to Mammoth Cave. It is a cave/tunnel that was created by a volcano. It was pretty awesome to see. We were all really smart and didn't bring flashlights. So our only light was Andrew's headlight. But we managed with our cell phones and cameras.

Josh joined in on our fun

This was a Kaylee size cave.

Not so much a Bryce size cave.

He knew I was trying to take a picture of him but I couldn't see a thing so this is the face I got.

Shany saving Breanna from the depths of the cave!

We had lots of four wheeler rides

Kaylee loves to ride the motorcycle with Grandpa!

What is camping if you don't have a fire?

The next day we had to leave our awesome cabin but we still had a fabulous day in the mountains.

We hiked to Cascade Falls

And Bryce crawled inside where the waterfall is.

Then we went to Navajo Lake to eat lunch and fish.
The lake was really low so nobody caught anything.

Then we went back to mine and Bryce's apartment and went swimming in the pool. It was lots of fun. My mom bought an inflatable whale and I think the adults had a lot more fun with it than the kids did. We also had handstand wars and chicken fights. It got pretty intense!
