Mud Bog

A couple of weeks ago we went to the mud bog at the Iron County Fair. My brother-in-law Max entered with his jeep so we went to go watch.

These are two of Max and Jenny's boys. They are too cute!!

It was pretty cool to see all the trucks try and go through

We couldn't believe that people even drove these big nice trucks in.

Brian likes to come sit with me and I love it!

They even had a snowmobile go through

By the time Max went it started to get dark but this is his jeep.

I only caught the last half on video but he did awesome and went all the way through in 10 seconds. He won first in his category!

After all of the trucks they even brought in ATV's

Tennis

Breanna had a tennis match today in Cedar City against Canyon View. It worked out perfect! I was able to go watch her. She won her game by a long shot. Good job Breanna!

Class Reunion

This post is a little out of order. I forgot to post it. My 5 year class reunion was on July 28th. Not very many people showed up but it was still fun to see everyone. Most of them were my friends from high school so Bryce had already met most all of them.

Camping Trip!

We got camping supplies for our wedding and have been wanting to go on a camping trip. Time flew by and all of the sudden school was right around the corner. So we finally just made time. We went up to Yankee Meadows. We couldn't leave til Thursday night and by the time we got up there it was dark and had started to rain. We set up our tent (which we had never done before) in the dark and in the rain and threw all of our stuff in with us and just went to bed. It was a little tricky but we managed.

Here is our cute little camp.

Max and Jenny let us borrow their four wheeler for our camping trip. So we went on lots of rides!
Thanks so much for letting us borrow it! Four wheelers are my favorite part of camping.

There were beautiful views!

We went shooting

And fishing

Bryce went back up to the four wheeler to get the worms since we weren't having much luck with power bait and I took over both poles.

Worms did the trick and I caught a fish!

We had some good dutch oven food.

The creek was gorgeous!

Move four wheeling

We found a gorgeous lake but it was on private property.

We had so much fun and didn't want to go back to real life. I can't wait to go again!

Duck Creek

This year my family rented a cabin in Duck Creek for a weekend. This was our cheater camping trip.

The first night we just ate dinner and lounged around and watched the Olympics while eating lots and lots of junk food.

Then the girls were on a sugar high and we just watched them run from one end of the cabin to another.

The next day we all rode up to Strawberry Point. The view is amazing!

From on the point you can see the whole valley all around you.

We went back to the cabin and played games for a while. We played Parcheesi. I was first introduced to this game by Bryce's family. This is a favorite in their house.
Now I think my family wants to buy it. It's a lot of fun!

Then we decided to go to Mammoth Cave. It is a cave/tunnel that was created by a volcano. It was pretty awesome to see. We were all really smart and didn't bring flashlights. So our only light was Andrew's headlight. But we managed with our cell phones and cameras.

Josh joined in on our fun

This was a Kaylee size cave.

Not so much a Bryce size cave.

He knew I was trying to take a picture of him but I couldn't see a thing so this is the face I got.

Shany saving Breanna from the depths of the cave!

We had lots of four wheeler rides

Kaylee loves to ride the motorcycle with Grandpa!

What is camping if you don't have a fire?

The next day we had to leave our awesome cabin but we still had a fabulous day in the mountains.

We hiked to Cascade Falls

And Bryce crawled inside where the waterfall is.

Then we went to Navajo Lake to eat lunch and fish.
The lake was really low so nobody caught anything.

Then we went back to mine and Bryce's apartment and went swimming in the pool. It was lots of fun. My mom bought an inflatable whale and I think the adults had a lot more fun with it than the kids did. We also had handstand wars and chicken fights. It got pretty intense!
